Virtual Assistant – Social Media

Rate: $4 – $5 per hour
Hours per Month: 20 hours

Overview

We’re looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Virtual Assistant to support our Social Media Manager with daily content creation, scheduling, and community engagement. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, understands brand consistency, and is confident using Canva and various social media tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Social Media Manager in planning and executing content calendars across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)

• Create visually appealing graphics, reels, and posts using Canva that align with brand guidelines

• Write short, engaging captions optimized for each platform’s tone and audience

• Schedule posts and monitor performance using tools like Buffer, Later, or Meta Business Suite

• Engage with followers by responding to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely, professional manner

• Research trending topics, hashtags, and competitor content to generate new content ideas

• Maintain a database of reusable social media assets and templates

• Track analytics and prepare simple weekly or monthly reports on content performance and engagement

• Assist in brainstorming campaigns and marketing initiatives to boost online presence

• Stay updated on the latest social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in social media management or virtual assistance

• Proficiency in Canva (basic graphic design and layout skills required)

• Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Later, Metricool, or Hootsuite)

• Excellent written English and communication skills

• Strong sense of creativity, attention to detail, and consistency

• Organized and reliable with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision

• Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting

Nice to Have

• Experience with short-form video editing (e.g., CapCut, Canva Video, or InShot)

• Knowledge of SEO basics for social media captions and hashtags

• Familiarity with using AI tools for content repurposing or caption writing
